What is KipwareJT® ?

KipwareJT® is a conversational CNC programming software from Kentech Inc. for Waterjet and Plasma machining.
It is a unique CNC programming package designed for the everyday CNC programmer.
Like all Kipware® CNC programmming packages it combines a mixture of conversational programming, CAD and CAM to create efficient CNC programs that machine those everyday workpieces that comprise the 85%-90% of the machining done in shops every day.
CAD/CAM requires an experienced CAD/CAM engineer for even the simplest programs as every part needs to be drawn or have a drawing. But Kipware® uses simple fill-in-the-blank forms with conversational questions that allow anyone to create powerful G code programs that contain all the powerful programming tips and tricks like cutter compensation and more.
KipwareJT® is completely user configurable using easy to understand, plain English fill-in-the-blank forms ... users can specify individual codes that perform functions on their specific machine ( for example : M71 - Turn the Nozzle ON ) ... then specify their order of execution and build their own "post" ... and users can create an unlimited number of "posts" using this simple method.
For those more complex programs that don't fit into the standard "simple" category ... KipwareJT® comes with our Kipware® SketchPad. Users can define any contour shape using the simpler drawing tools of point, line and arc ... then still use the conversational menus to create the CNC programs to machine that contour.
In addition, KipwareJT® also gives the users the ability to utilize their favorite drawing package to create ANY TOOLPATH ... then import it into KipwareJT®.
Using the KipwareJT® feature called AutoPath, users only need define the start point of the contour ... and AutoPath arranges and re-arranged the elements of the drawing to create a toolpath. The beauty part of this feature is that the user can create ANY toolpath desired ... usually only having to use the CAD features of OFFSET and TRIM. This feature allows the user to turn any CAD package into a toolpath creating CAM package.
