What is the Kipware® SketchPad?
- The Kipware® SketchPad is a unique and intuitive drawing application
that
allows anyone to create drawings and then turn those drawings into G code toolpaths
- While standard operations and shapes such as round pocketing, bolt circle machining, simple milling, turning, threading and grooving have been
the main focus of our conversational software, the improved and enhanced Kipware® SketchPad is now targeting
non-traditional shapes as well using the conversational approach
- Kentech Inc.has taken the CAD / CAM concept and made it "Real World".
- The Kipware® SketchPad utilizes a conversational type menu system rather than CAD standard type menus.
No CAD experience is required.
- The user selects an icon that not only indicates the type of element to be drawn but gives the software additional definition of the element
desired.
- In this way, even if information about the element is not known, the software will store the known information, allow the user to continue
creating the shape, and will utilize its own "intuition" to calculate the unknown data and
complete the elements as the user proceeds.
- This makes drawing intersecting lines as well as line-fillet-line combinations easy for anyone ... No CAD
experience required... the user simply inputs the know information and the SketchPad will auto-calculate the unknown data to complete
the toolpath.
- The user can either draw the toolpath directly on the SketchPad or import the DXF file into the SketchPad and then proceed to utilize the
conversational fill in the blank form to machine the part.
- To machine the drawn or imported shape, the user simply selects the starting and ending elements and the SketchPad will
automatically connect all the elements together in a joined toolpath for machining.
- The "real world" designed Kipware® SketchPad will add improved efficiency and enhanced
productivity to your shop floor.
