KipwareXC® CNC G Code Conversion Software

What is KipwareXC®?

KipwareXC® is Kentech Inc.'s user configurable CNC G code program conversion software. If your shop has multiple CNC controls and switching between them is impossible due to code incompatibility or you feel trapped into buying the same machines with the same controls because you do not have the time or man power to convert all your current programs to a new control, then KipwareXC® can give your shop the flexibility to be more productive and efficient.

Design Philosophy

• Users can create an UNLIMITED number of PROFILES which are basic commands that tell the software what-to-convert into what. This means that one purchase of KipwareXC® can accommodate an unlimited number of conversion options.
• PROFILES can contain pre-set conversion options as well as user-defined conversion options.
• Users can select both a Primary and Secondary Profile if required for the conversion. This allows the conversion process to take place in two stages ... all automatically ... if required. An example might be that the original program may need to have decimal point added before other mathematical operations can take place.
• To convert a file ... the user selects the PROFILE(s) to use ... selects the G code file to convert ... press CONVERT. KipwareXC automatically reads the existing file and performs the designated conversions automatically.
• At the end of the conversion, the original file and converted files are displayed side-by-side in a full, G code specific editor.
• The conversion is done automatically as fast as the PC can read in the existing program and write the new lines ... usually it's done in just a few seconds.
• Options exist for batch conversions ... perform the conversion on multiple files in seconds.

Pre-Defined Conversion Options

• Convert Fanuc turning canned cycles from one format to another.
  • Converts canned cycles from the double line to single line format and REVERSE automatically on any model Fanuc control.
  • Convert Fanuc double line format into Haas compatible single line format.
• Accomodates milling, radius lathe, diameter lathe or almost any other type of G code program format.
• Axis Reversal including:
  • Invert X coordinates.
  • Reverse G02 / G03 commands.
  • Invert I or K commands in G02 / G03.
  • Invert U commands.
• Convert Circular Interpolation commands including:
  • Convert "R" to INCREMENTAL or ABSOLUTE I,J or K.
  • Convert INCREMENTAL I,J or K to letter designation such as R or L.
  • Convert INCREMENTAL I,J or K to ABSOLUTE I,J or K or REVERSE.
• Convert RADIUS X to DIAMETER X ... and REVERSE.
• Convert INCH to METRIC and REVERSE
• Users can convert either the entire file or mark only certain sections for conversion.
• ADD decimal points ... REMOVE decimal points
• Auto-separate G or M codes in a program if your control requires G or M codes on a separate line.
• AUTO-OFFSET feature allows users to define a letter address and have a pre-set value or percentage of the current value of that letter address automatically ADDED or SUBTRACTED. Examples include:
  • Adjust all S ( Spindle Speed Commands ) by 25% UP or DOWN
  • ADD 2.00" to all Z commands
  • REDUCE all F ( Feedrate Commands ) by 10%

User-Defined Conversion Options

• Users can create an UNLIMITED number of "Code Macro" conversions
• Code macro's can accomodate almost any conversion scenario including :
  • Simple one-to-one conversions (e.g. M81 to M181)
  • Split commands (e.g. T01 M06; to T01;
                                                     M06;)
• Perform multiple search for and then replace in one line (e.g.G81 X1.00 Y1.00 R.100 F20.0; to G181 X1.00 Y1.00 Q.100 F100.0;)
• ADD additional lines or code (e.g.G00 G91 G28 Z0; to G00 G90 Z50.0;
                                                                                                 M09;)
• DELETE commands completely (e.g. G43 Z1.00 H01 M08; to G43 Z1.00 M08;)

KipwareXC® Features

• User has ability to build PROFILES which define the conversions using our Profile Creations Form. Number of Profiles is unlimited.

• KipwareXC-4® was specifically designed for G code conversion for four axis turning programs.
• Perform complex conversions on two separate G code programs for two turrets at the same time.
